Dennis Gitahi, in papers filed at the Milimani law court, claims the MP has refused to take parental responsibility over him.
He says the legislator has left him to live a destitute life following his mother’s death 14 years ago.
The applicant says he has tried reaching the MP for assistance but despite his promises, he is yet to get any.
Through lawyer Wokabi Mathenge, the man alleges that his late mother Florence Wanjiru who died in 2004 told him that Kega was his biological father.
“Efforts to reach him were thwarted by the fact that I was a minor and at all times that I tried to reach him, it was impossible as I was unable due to my age,” he says in an affidavit.
After the demise of his mother, he moved in with his grandmother at Watuka Village in Kieni constituency.
“The grandmother kept on telling him that the respondent is his father since she was aware of the relationship between him and his mother,” reads the documents.
Gitahi also says his secondary school studies were hampered by lack of fees because his mother was just a casual labourer and his grandmother a peasant farmer.
He claims the MP promised to grant him bursary while he was in high school but he did not get much help.
The applicant claims he visited Kegaâ’s office in Mweiga town but security officers prevented him from reaching the MP.
He wants the court to compel the MP to recognise him as his son and treat him equally like his other children.
